Energy Pathfinder
The North Sea Transition Authority’s new and improved Energy Pathfinder portal has been backed by Scottish Renewables and RenewableUK, both of which have begun encouraging members to promote contracting opportunities for wind energy projects on the platform.

The upgraded platform now features information on more than 20 offshore wind projects, alongside the latest contract packages, procurement timelines and contact links to project buyers. This revamp transforms Energy Pathfinder into a free, centralised gateway for UK-based suppliers, enabling them to see project pipelines, register for alerts and directly connect with developers managing the contracts.

Component supply for next-gen tidal energy platform
The UK-based tidal stream energy developer Tidal Technologies Limited (TTL) has launched a procurement process for its first full-scale tidal energy prototype, TT2, marking a step forward in the deployment of UK-developed tidal stream technology.

The company is seeking suppliers for the equipment supply, manufacturing and installation of components for the TT2 platform, which is designed to reduce operational and maintenance costs and improve energy conversion in medium-speed tidal currents.

Amazon Sustainability Accelerator
The Amazon Sustainability Accelerator is an equity-free programme supporting start-ups that are driving sustainable innovation.

The accelerators aim to support business growth and is focused on sustainability verticals such as circular economy, recycling technology and more sustainable consumer products.

Contracts for Difference (CfD) dashboard
The Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) has launched an interactive “CfD Locations by Parliamentary Constituency” dashboard, mapping Contracts for Difference projects nationwide, with regional and constituency-level detail. The dashboard displays spatial distribution alongside key statistics for each project, total and annual generation in MWh, operational start date, the local MP for each asset, equivalent homes powered and more.

It offers a user‑friendly way to explore where low-carbon energy is being deployed across constituencies and stay informed on performance and political representation.

Digital Solutions for Energy Transition and Manufacturing
Scottish Enterprise invites small and medium enterprises to collaborate with energy and manufacturing firms on proof-of-value projects for the Digital Solutions for Energy Transition and Manufacturing Fund. The fund offers up to £50,000 per company to develop digital solutions addressing challenges such as data sharing, asset tracking and ESG compliance.

Eligible applicants must be registered or operating in Scotland and capable of delivering a pilot between September 2025 and March 2026. Phase two applications open in late June 2025, with selected digital partners matched to challenge holders to develop solutions over three to six months.

UK offshore wind supply chain investment guide

Renewable UK and Baringa have published a report simplifying the landscape of investing in the UK’s supply chain. It highlights the financial support available from government, independent and industry sources, and explains the different investment tools you can use.
This guide provides a clear and practical overview of the UK’s investment support mechanisms for the offshore wind supply chain. By collaborating with the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, the Department for Business and Trade, the Scottish and Welsh governments and industry organisations. The report provides a comprehensive list of key financial support providers and their investment mechanisms.

Great British Energy Roundtable | May 15, Edinburgh
Scottish Renewables’ Chief Executive, Claire Mack and Director of Energy Transition and Supply Chain, Emma Harrick, recently represented both Scottish Renewables and the cluster at a high-level roundtable discussion with Ian Murray MP, Secretary of State for Scotland, Michael Shanks MP, Minister for Energy and Jürgen Maier, Chair of Great British Energy.
The gathering brought together industry leaders and representatives from the Scottish Government, Scottish National Investment Bank, National Wealth Fund and Crown Estate Scotland to explore the support needed for Scotland’s offshore wind supply chain.
Coinciding with the formal approval of the GB Energy Bill, this discussion also highlighted the new £300 million funding that GB Energy will oversee to bolster the supply chain.

Oceaneering Visit | May 29, Edinburgh
The cluster team recently visited members Oceaneering to learn about the organisation’s renewable energy ambitions.
The Rosyth facility tour provided invaluable insight into the company’s capabilities, ongoing innovation and successful export activity.

The Clean Energy Cluster – Networking Drinks | June 16, London
On June 16, The Clean Energy Cluster hosted a networking drinks event in London.
The team enjoyed meeting with members and industry stakeholders to discuss key industry issues. This informal event marked the beginning of a busy couple of days at the Global Offshore Wind conference. Thank you to those who attended.

Global Offshore Wind | June 17-18, London
The cluster attended Global Offshore Wind in London on June 17-18 which focused on urgent actions needed to meet offshore wind deployment goals by 2030.

The Clean Energy Cluster Roundtable | June 19, Shetland
The Clean Energy Cluster hosted its first official roundtable on June 19 in Lerwick, Shetland.
The roundtable brought together local industry stakeholders to collectively explore offshore wind opportunities, the challenges faced by businesses in Shetland and the next steps needed to support the suppliers driving the push towards a net-zero nation.
The group explored themes in investment and innovation as well as regional insights from those running businesses in island communities. We look forward to progressing these discussions into actions to better support all our members in advancing the offshore wind supply chain.

Scottish Renewables invites Scottish supply chain businesses and cluster members to share their export experiences. The Renewable Energy Products and Services Exports Survey aims to better understand which countries Scottish businesses are exporting to and gain insight into the support required to enable future growth as well as boost international competitiveness.
Your input on export experiences, challenges and successes is essential to help shape resources, policy and export strategies.
