Thistle Wind Partners: PQQ – Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Services

Thistle Wind Partners is seeking market interest, capacity and capability to provide a range of Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) consultancy services for the Bowdun Offshore Wind Farm project.

This pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) will be used to shortlist suitable suppliers for two related, but separately assessed, tenders. The estimated tender delivery is September 1, 2026. Please note TWP will require bidders to sign an NDA before PQQ documents are issued.

SDI Nordics: 2026 Offshore Wind Programme – Denmark & Norway

Scottish Development International (SDI) Nordics, in partnership with Danish Energy Export and Norwegian Offshore Wind, is launching a focused 2026 Offshore Wind Programme and inviting a small group of Scottish companies with installation and O&M solutions to take part. The programme offers direct access to opportunities in Denmark’s fixed bottom offshore wind sector, alongside a platform for engaging with supply chain companies in both Denmark and Norway.

Programme highlights include: a webinar covering an offshore wind market update from Denmark, Norway and Scotland in early September 2026; online matchmaking with supply chain companies in the lead-up to the November delegation; and a supply chain event in Esbjerg on 2–4 November 2026, featuring developer pitches, buyer meetings and a tour of the Port of Esbjerg.

Scottish Supply Chain Mapping: Floating Offshore Wind Foundation Packages

Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International are working with an overseas Tier 1 floating foundation manufacturer to identify Scottish suppliers capable of supplying and delivering components and services for offshore wind projects in Scotland and beyond. This is primary data-gathering ahead of the manufacturer’s Tier 1 procurement process, and companies that respond successfully will be invited to participate in future quotations. The online survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and covers your current offshore wind capability, investment plans and components you can supply. Deadline: August 25.

Energy Pathfinder Webinars

This month, The Clean Energy Cluster teamed up with Scottish Renewables and the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) to run two webinars on Energy Pathfinder — the free and newly enhanced online portal connecting the supply chain with live procurement opportunities across offshore wind and the wider energy sector. One session focused on helping suppliers identify and pursue opportunities, while the other explored how developers and Tier 1 contractors can use the platform to publish tenders and strengthen engagement with the supply chain.

Across both sessions, speakers highlighted how better visibility of procurement opportunities can strengthen the entire offshore wind supply chain. A key message was the importance of Tier 1 contractors publishing their own tenders and contract awards, with the Net Zero North Sea Storage carbon capture project demonstrating this in practice through more than 110 tenders published on the platform. Delegates also heard from Gavin MacKay, Supply Chain Manager at Thistle Wind Partners, who showcased a live Bowdun Offshore Wind Farm procurement opportunity, providing practical insight into how suppliers can engage with upcoming work through Energy Pathfinder. With 131 projects now live on the platform and around 1,000 monthly visitors, Energy Pathfinder is quickly becoming an invaluable tool for connecting developers, Tier 1 contractors and suppliers.

Vertical Co-Operation in the Supply Chain Workshop | August 18, Glasgow

Join us on August 18 for an interactive workshop exploring how greater vertical co-operation can support better project outcomes, more informed decision-making and a more balanced allocation of commercial risk across the offshore wind supply chain. As offshore wind projects scale up, the risk built into contracts can sometimes outweigh what a business is able to carry, meaning capable suppliers are priced out of opportunities before the work even begins. Together, we’ll discuss practical approaches to improving communication across the value chain, sharing risk more effectively and widening access to opportunities for Scotland’s supply chain.

The workshop will take place from 13:30–15:00, following an invite-only morning roundtable on Project Finance & Contract Risk, and will be followed by a networking reception from 15:00–17:00.

Spiorad na Mara Supply Chain Business Breakfast | September 9, Stornoway

The Spiorad na Mara project team is hosting a Supply Chain Business Breakfast in Stornoway on Wednesday 9 September 2026, 8am–11am, at the Garry Room, Caladh Inn, Isle of Lewis. Local and Scottish businesses will have the chance to learn more about the proposed ScotWind project and the main contracting and subcontracting opportunities that will arise during its construction and operations phases. The event runs in two parts: a project overview covering the contracting timeline, opportunities and high-level requirements, followed by the chance to book 1-2-1 sessions with the project team and industry specialists.

ScotWind spending commitments reach £25.5bn

Projected supply chain spending across 16 ScotWind projects has risen to £25.5 billion, with average projected spend in Scotland increasing to £1.6 billion per project from £1.5 billion in 2023, according to the latest Supply Chain Development Statement Outlooks published by Crown Estate Scotland.
