Held as an official side event of Floating Offshore Wind 2026, sponsored by UK Concrete, this workshop will explore what it will take to forge an industrialised pathway for concrete floating offshore wind foundations in the UK.
Concrete offers a competitive, lower-carbon alternative to steel, with a proven track record in major infrastructure and the potential to anchor UK manufacturing jobs and domestic production.
This workshop is designed to:
- Explore how early concrete floating foundation projects move from demonstrator to serial, commercial delivery.
- Bring developers, supply chain and finance together to identify what’s needed to unlock investment
- Assess whether the supply chain’s call for a committed demand signal has been met, and what still needs to change in policy and contracting to de-risk investment.
Join us from 1:00pm for a networking lunch ahead of a 1:30pm start, running through to 4:00pm.

This event is open to all Clean Energy Cluster members with an interest in concrete and it’s use in offshore wind.
