Opportunities
Tender: EnBW – Subsea Inspection
EnBW is inviting bids for periodic subsea inspection services at its offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea and North Sea.
The contracts are expected to run from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031. The scope includes visual and functional inspections of underwater support structures of the wind turbine generators and offshore substations. The tender is divided into two lots:
- LOT 1 – Periodic Subsea Inspections – Offshore Wind Farms in the Baltic Sea
- LOT 2 – Periodic Subsea Inspections – Offshore Wind Farms in the North Sea

Aberdeen City Council: Business Start-Up Grants
Aberdeen City Council is offering grants of up to £3,000 through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to support new businesses within the city.

The grant is designed to cover essential early-stage costs and help new ventures establish a strong foundation. The scheme is open to sole traders, partnerships and limited companies that began trading on or after October 1, 2024, and are based within the council boundary. Eligible applicants can receive £1,000 if operating without premises, or £3,000 if taking on a rateable commercial space.

Manufacturing Facility Support Programme
The Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) has launched its 2025 Manufacturing Facility Support Programme (MFSP), offering grants of up to £500,000 per project.

With £2 million total funding available, the programme supports UK-based businesses preparing for capital investment in offshore wind manufacturing. Projects must align with the Offshore Wind Industrial Growth Plan and are expected to deliver at least £5 million capital investment, 20+ UK jobs and £5 million annual revenue within five years.

Wind Expert Support Toolkit
The Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) has opened applications for Wave 17 of its Wind Expert Support Toolkit (WEST) programme, offering strategic business transformation support including expert consultancy, market insight and tailored pathways into offshore wind.

UK-registered companies of any size or level of experience, whether entering, transitioning into or already scaling within the offshore wind sector, are eligible to apply.

Transition Training Fund
A new £900,000 pilot, backed by the UK and Scottish governments and delivered in partnership with Skills Development Scotland, offers tailored support and training to around 200 current and former oil and gas workers in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
The fund helps with careers advice and training for roles in offshore wind, hydrogen and carbon capture and storage, tapping into the high-quality clean energy jobs emerging in the region.

FLOW: Concrete Workshop and Networking Reception | November 12, Aberdeen
Floating Offshore Wind 2025, co-organised by Scottish Renewables and RenewableUK, returns to Aberdeen on November 12 and 13.
On day one, The Clean Energy Cluster invites members to join us for a hands-on Concrete Workshop, exploring the role of concrete as a low-carbon material for the construction of floating wind foundations.

HIE Provides £1.175m Funding For Shetland Quay

Plans for an Ultra-Deep-Water Quay in Shetland have secured up to £1.175 million in funding from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE). The funding will support preparatory works, dredging and deepening areas adjacent to the quayside at Dales Voe in Lerwick Harbour to -16 metres.
